Yet another of Park Street’s legendary addresses, especially popular with the family crowd, Bar-B-Q serves a multicuisine spread – North Indian and Chinese – in a vintage setting with red vinyl seats. Managed by the Kotharis (Park Street’s first family of sorts who also own giants such as Mocambo and Peter Cat), the place is one of the busiest restaurants on the eat street. Their Indian spread is decent, but most people come for their schezwan-style Chinese food (try the schezwan chilli pork, one of their bestsellers). The chimney soup (a portion serves four) is fantastic; and the slightly tangy and spicy kung pao chicken loaded with cashew nuts is a must-try. Pair it with good old fried rice or some chilli garlic noodles.
