Their signature drink – Three Dots and a Dash – is marked by its predictable garnish of three cherries and a long slice of pineapple skewered together to form the three dots and a dash in Morse, which, incidentally, stands for victory. It packs in quite a punch, and you would think everything else here on would be irresistible. It is not. The boiled peanuts are actually my favourite appetiser here because they can hardly afford to go wrong with it. And the honey mustard chicken is not too bad either. The chilly cheese toast – a favourite at most pubs in the city – is also a decent appetiser. Stick to the starters.
