There has been a sudden spurt in the number of new lounges that have mushroomed in Chandigarh. Many of them have been styled in such a way that they make the best of indoor and outdoor space. Proving that well is C’Yard in Sector 26. Styled like a lounge, the dim lighting works well even during the day. There are plenty of seating options and during winters, it is no surprise that many diners choose to sit outdoors, making the most of the sun. The menu is quite similar to what most lounge/cafes dish out these days. Of course, it is multi-cuisine and yes, the emphasis is on popular appetizers and main course. The bar menu is plump too. The food menu also includes some Mediterranean fare and there is something to suit everyone’s palate. We relished the non-vegetarian 'Manchow Soup'. The main course offers multiple choices and depending on what you like, you will find a dish to order. The 'Dal Meat' we ordered lived up to our expectations and was a welcome change from the usual curries. It went really well with garlic naan. Vegetarians should opt for the platter that offers a good variety. Though the service was satisfactory, the place is missing some zing. They will need to roll out specials to keep the Chandigarh foodie happy.
