There has been a sudden spurt in the number of new lounges that have mushroomed in Chandigarh. 26 Boulevard is as the name mentions, housed in the row of lounges/nightclubs in Sector 26. The decor does little to distinguish itself in this milieu. In fact, it is quite lacklustre during the day. There are plenty of seating options and the island bar takes centre stage. The menu is again quite similar to what most lounge/cafes dish out these days. Of course, it is multi-cuisine and yes, the emphasis is on popular appetizers and main course. There are the likes of ‘Tandoori Murg’, ‘Mutton Seekh Kebab’, ‘Tandoori Soya Chaap’; you get the drift. It also includes a mix of pastas, pizzas, burgers, wraps, sandwiches et al. If you are watching your calorie intake, the section offering dishes fresh off the grill will interest you. The main course hop-scotches across cuisines and offers some surprises like ‘Dalcha Gosht’, ‘Vietnamese Grilled Salmon’, ‘Thyme Polenta’, to list a few. The service though needs to pick up.
