The large imposing Chinese soldiers at the entrance welcome you into a large space, covered with a good amount of natural sunlight. The service is very friendly and you constantly have someone checking on you - without being overbearing. The buffet does the whole shebang – from starters and soups coming to the table in a mix of vegetarian and meat, followed by a stream of accompaniments for all that you select off the buffet. It is very rare that I can do justice to a buffet. Opting for a la carte, I started with the 'Rojak' – having just come back from Malaysia, I wanted to have a taste of 'KL' and this salad was the perfect start. Next was the dim sum and I chose the 'Chicken and Basil Dumplings' – moist, flavorful and well-constructed, I really enjoyed this. Salmon nigiri is a family favourite and so this was what we ordered. It was a good order. The 'Shallot and Cheese Cheung Fun' and the 'Shanxi Mogu Cheung Fun' with a variety of mushrooms are great choices. For the main course, it was the 'Mapo Tofu' and the 'Lotus Leaf Wrapped Rice'. They went well together. For a quirky dessert, as the menu describes it, you can try the 'Chocolate Tsunami'.
