The bar at the Novotel Kolkata is almost an extension of its lobby. The interiors are chic but practical, the sink-in sofas by the glass wall overlooking the pool, are particularly inviting. The hotel is close to the city’s IT hub and Sante is especially popular with IT professionals dropping by for an after-work drink, or a quick business meeting. The wine and liquor lists are impressive, but it is a good idea to try some of their signature cocktails such as Tanqueray-based Bene Fiz or The Thistle, a whisky and triple sec concoction. The food served here are tapas-style platters that can be shared over drinks.
