The fine dining restaurants serving the best brunches on Sundays

After a late Saturday night, we often prefer to start our day late on a Sunday. We skip breakfast and directly land up at a Sunday Brunch to continue the good times that we were having since the previous night. Most of the brunches have price options with and without alcohol. Here are a list of premium Sunday brunches that have an elaborate spread of gourmet food and drinks, as well as a great ambience to perk up our Sundays in Hyderabad:

Tre-Forni

The specialized Italian Sunday Brunch at Tre-Forni, Park Hyatt Hyderabad is one of the most expensive ones in the city. The brunch is spread over the elegant bar area, the main restaurant as well as the terrace, which offers a great view of Banjara Hills skyline. The grill section has some mouthwatering meat and seafood dishes including lobsters and salmon, while the cheese, cold cut and pasta counters have extensive offerings too. To add to the happiness, the bar serves some delightful handcrafted cocktails as well as best champagnes and wines.

Feast

Feast at The Sheraton Hyderabad also focusses on themes for their Sunday Brunches. They choose one theme which runs for a particular month. The food, as well as the ambience of the restaurant, builds on this theme. Recently their successful themes included Avengers, Charlie Chaplin and Chocolates.

Okra

Okra at Marriott Hyderabad has a lavish Sunday Brunch with a huge number of live counters put up at the poolside al-fresco area. The bar serves some delectable cocktails, while desserts are served at Hyderabad Baking Company. Some of the highlights of the brunch are the sheer comfort dishes like Maggi, Appam etc which are dished out from the live counter. That said, their international food like roasts, and satay cannot be ignored too.

Deccan Pavilion

The Sunday Brunch at Deccan Pavilion, ITC Kakatiya has a sumptuous multi-cuisine spread with live music. Live counters include grills, pastas and hot dogs. The brunch has a Sushi Counter too serving both vegetarian and non-vegetarian sushis. The brunch here can be personalized to some extent by rustling up quick dishes to suit individual tastes. The Chocolate Fountain is a highlight from the dessert section, which has some great Indian sweets too.

Jonathan’s Kitchen

The Sunday Brunch at Jonathan’s Kitchen at Gachibowli has some really exclusive dishes from the Asian, Oriental and Indian kitchens. The menu changes regularly to enhance the customer experience even more. A rich choice of wines, alcohol and special drinks available allows the customers to have a really gala Sunday afternoon.

Seasonal Tastes

The all-day dining restaurant at The Westin Hyderabad serves one of the most popular Sunday Brunches in Hitech City. The brunches here are theme based which can be an event centred like Circus or Halloween or focusing on regional food like Dabbawala. This is to ensure that the regular customers have a different experience every time. Their Dessert Counter is one of the most extensive among the brunches in the city.

Verandah

It is difficult to decide the live counter to start the food journey on a Sunday at Verandah, the buffet restaurant at The Park Hyderabad. The entire restaurant, as well as the al-fresco area, are lined up with counters serving different delicacies. The number of live counters is perhaps the highest among all the brunches in the city, my pick being the one serving Hyderabadi food. The kids' buffet and play area ensures that your children have a gala time too.

Mekong

One of the most sought-after brunches in the city at Mekong, Hotel Marigold concentrates on Pan-Asian dishes from many countries in East and South-East Asia. In the Sunday brunch, items which are not on their usual menu are served. There is a teppan serving Teppanyaki dishes, as well as a live Sushi Counter. Special items like lobsters or crabs are often part of the brunch.
