Artusi takes its Italian cuisine pretty seriously, though the portion sizes are not in sync with hearty Indian appetites. Make sure to marvel at the dramatic black and white photographs on the wall. The best one is that of a young Marlon Brando from the movie The Wild One, where the matinee idol can be seen clad in leather and standing next to a stylish motorcycle.However, the fare served here is made with top-notch ingredients and does not compromise on the cooking techniques either. A good way to whet your appetite is by ordering the 'Burrata Maestro Fellini'. It is a dish that plays up the contrast between a melt-in-the-mouth burrata and a delicate 'Prosciutto Di Parma', that has been aged for 18 months. You also cannot go wrong with 'Raviolo Al Burro E Agli Asparagi', where square-shaped pasta pockets, filled with spinach, herbs and ricotta floats in a butter sauce.

If you have a taste for authentic Italian cuisine and do not mind spending a little extra then head straight to Artusi in the M-Block Market Greater Kailash-South Delhi. The interiors are warm and the black and white pictures on the wall are the highlighters. The décor is pretty compact but comfortable. It gives an ancient rustic look with wooden furniture which appears to be a little heavy according to the place. It looks like a café on a hillside with a mountain view. The restaurant does not believe in any type of fusion and serves authentic Italian food. It serves the best Italian food in the city and the postion size is pretty decent.
