This doesn’t fail with its intriguing mix of a globe trotter’s fare and new age but wholesome and hearty cooking. It is a café first and last reflecting an era where world class acoustics gives diners a chance to engage with music in a chill zone over gigs every weekend and astounding music on other days; replete with beautifully done up Music paraphernalia. To begin to savour the flavours, make a grand gesture with the Warm Spanish Artichoke and Spinach Dip served with homemade tortilla chips. A highlight from the taco bar is the Chorizo and Roasted Potato; the hint of lemon infused with sour cream brings out the succulent flavour of the tender meat. My vote also goes all out for the Banh-Mi style chicken taco with Sriracha mayonnaise. The sliders platter is divine especially the one with the lamb filling. When all’s done and accounted for, there are the waffles crafted for the truly indulgent, my favourite is the Chocolate Gianduja with caramelized nuts. Simplicity and balance are the buzzwords of this wonderful space, enriched by honest to goodness flavours and deep rooted passion of the owners Vikas & Girja Shanker. All in all, Good music and Conversations now pay an ode to life’s simple pleasures in Dilli 48!
