Rendezvous has been around for a long time now and it is one that has its loyal customers. Nothing much has changed over the years – whether it is the seating, the cushions or the extremely dim lights that work as ‘ambient lighting’ in the evenings. This is also one of those few places that chills its beer glasses and gives it to you (small pleasures of life). To pair with your beer, you can ask for any of these – the 'Jalapeno Bites', the 'Pepper Mushrooms', the 'Curryleaf Paneer' as well as the 'Classic Chilli Gobi' (can’t really go wrong with this Indian invention!). For the meat eaters you have the 'Chilli and Manchurian Chicken' which is popular, the Chicken Ghee Roast which is much spicier that it should be, the Chicken sausage in hot garlic sauce and some brilliant 'Dragon Beef' and 'Chilli Egg'. Rendezvous does some good Beef steaks with the works, though the medium rare request may not always be met perfectly. Steaks are also available in Chicken. Among the “Conti” offerings are the 'Golden Fried Chicken with Fries', 'Hot Pot Chicken in a creamy White Sauce' and a pretty good 'Beef Stroganoff'. If you would like to go the good old South Indian way, then some great appams and parathas with meat stews and curries are available.
