My first memory of Highland Nectar was when it first opened doors and had a wonderful selection of international whiskies and a trail that they would take you through. Am not sure they do this today, but it is good to know that they have a great selection of whiskies that would make any connoisseur happy. I began my evening with the house special, 'Green Revolution'. With betel leaf, this cocktail gives you hints of pepper, bits of betel leaf and the overall flavours of paan in a cocktail. It takes a bit of getting used to, but I can see many people loving this one. 'Geist' is available on taps here and so one of the 'Witty Wit' also hit the table. To eat, we began with some moist chicken dimsum, which were great. Another dish to come to the table was the 'Wasabi Prawns'. This is something we have ordered on every visit of ours over the years and continue to enjoy. The ambience is great, with high back leather chairs and cushions that make it so easy to let the hassles of the day slip away. We sat at a strategic point – great view of the bar, of the TV running the match and of the lovely duo playing some great numbers. For the mains, we had the 'Pulled Lamb Burger' and the 'Spaghetti Aglio Olio'. The burger was fabulous – the meat moist, flavourful and a well-structured burger. The Aglio Olio was drowned in a bit too much of EVOO and garlic and became a tad overwhelming halfway through. Ended the evening with a double shot of 'Talisker 10 Years' with a cube of ice (just the way I like it) and it was a lovely experience to add to the kitty.
