A poolside restaurant with cosy alcoves enveloped by immaculate white drapes, Turque slowly subsumes you into its dreamy space. The ambience here grows on the senses rather than appearing ostentatious. Food is above what you find at regular multicuisine restaurants – from innovative kababs such as malai broccoli and dum ki macchli, Mediterranean munchies such as chicken espetada (fowl morsels in a fiery Portuguese marinade) to ingenious Asian creations such as sugarcane prawns and classic Mongolian chicken (which has the bird meat tossed in a mélange of sauces such as hoisin, soy and oyster) – flavourful is an understatement! For mains, mop up some murgh begum ki pasand (think chicken simmered in brown gravy delicately perfumed with saffron and rose water) with hot roomali rotis.
