A prettily done-up Pan Asian restaurant with gentle music and cosy indoor and airy al fresco sections, this is a great place – providing an attractive ambience at easy-on-the-pocket prices – for a family dinner or even to take your date to. As you settle into the twinkling lights and healthy breeze, choose from an elaborate list of hot soups and starters to dig into – we would recommend the rich, stew-like ‘phek’ made from coconut milk and redolent with the aromas of lemongrass and Thai basil, with a plate of crispy fried shiitake mushrooms, silken tofu dim sums or perhaps some sumptuous crab in black pepper sauce to go with. For mains, the prawns in Ox sauce with some nyonya rice flavoured with kafir lime, coriander, lime and chilli, is a good bet.
