The hip lounge-restaurant employs super-trippy lighting, a posh décor and open cubicle sofa seating around its spacious dance floor. First off, the bar menu effectively shows you how a dash of some herbs or spices can do wonders to your cocktails. The traditional bellini gets a cardamom and muskmelon twist, while an orange martini comes redolent of sage; a pomegranate-gin cocktail is infused with thyme, and another martini muddles curry leaves and cucumber with gin. There is a jalapeño-mango caprioska with coriander and cumin, as also a jasmine tea, lemon grass and black grape vodka libation. Once you are good with some signature tipple, explore starters such as the herbed lamb chops, panko-fried onion rings, or Thai basil chilli chicken with cashews. The food menu focuses primarily around easy-to-eat dishes for a drinking night out – expect to find a succulent thyme-infused turkey salami and mozzarella sandwich, a garden burger with a patty of carrot, zucchini and feta with a garlic aioli, and a lovely, simple margherita pizza with fresh basil tomato and cheese. Mains such as the drunken lamb ravioli in red wine jus and gorgonzola mac and cheese with red wine poached pears and walnut shards bring in an additional hint of fine dine into the proceedings.
