  • During monsoon, do try the 'Sabji Diye Khichudi' which comes with lots of vegetables and has a heavy dose of ghee too
  • 'Musur Dal Er Paturi' is a very interesting and unusual dish where the musur dal paste is cooked with other spices inside a banana leaf. Mashed with some rice, it tastes just too good
  • You will get your regular Bengali food and some unusual food like 'Macher Kochuri', 'Bhekti Stew', 'Aam Shol', 'Loittey Chorchori' and more

After a long time, a Bengali outlet has opened which serves very home styled Bengali food. Unlike most of this scale of restaurants, the food isn’t too oily or spicy. Basic comfortable ambience but the place runs more of takeaways or home deliveries in the area. 'Tikona Parantha', which you get only in Bengali homes, along with some mushy 'Kumror Chakka' is a brilliant combination to try. You will get every day 'Cholar Dal' packed with minced mutton and it is lip-smacking delicious. One of those rare places where you will also get duck eggs, do try the 'Hansher Dimers Kosha'. It is not very spicy but the balance of the sauce is just perfect.
