Yi Jing is a new ITC brand that is solely focussed on Chinese cuisine – both old and new. An open kitchen and a gorgeous private dining room are the highlights of the spacious dining area draped in ethereal red. The menu is expansive and features everything from classic 'Hand-pulled Noodles' to modern creations such as 'Steamed Egg Custard with Scallops'. There is a lot to like at Yi Jing. The Dim Sums spread is quite interesting; some of the highlights are 'Sake Edamame Dumplings', 'Spicy Carrot Wasabi Dumplings', and 'Prawn Crispy Cheung Fun Roll'. Unfortunately, Yi Jing’s execution can be uneven. I was disappointed to see my 'Beijing Duck' arrive with limp skin. Another niggle is the service, which is inadequate for a property that is a part of ITC’s Luxury Collection.
