Talasa, which is named after Thalassa – the Greek Goddess of the Sea, is a cheerful oasis in the midst of HiTec city. The décor of the restaurant is evidently inspired by Mediterranean sensibilities. Whitewashed walls with splashes of blue. Ceilings accented with runners, birdcages, and minimalist lighting. And eye-catching, wall-to-wall paintings inspired by the serene islands of Greece. The food selection is a medley of global influences. There is a fair bit of Mexican on the menu here, and that is not surprisingconsidering that this spot used to be a Habanero franchise earlier. There is also plenty of Pan Asian – from 'Pad Thai' and 'Nasi Goreng' to 'Korean Pot Rice'. Other favourites here include a loaded 'All American Beef Burger', 'Moroccan Skewers', and 'Pulao'. Talasa usually features live music on Friday nights.
