In the slow paced village of Raia, stands Nostalgia. Much to its name, it is set in a beautifully preserved old Goan house and is run as a boutique restaurant, serving traditional Goan-Portuguese cuisine, run by Margarida Tavora é Costa. Started by her husband, Chef Fernando da Costa − a chef par excellence; his passion for food still bears a mute testimony in the choice of preparations listed on the menu. The mini stuffed squid and the salted ox tongue sets ones tongue wagging and asking for more, a legacy from the days of yore. Another must-have is the beef crumb chops to satiate ones cravings. Authenticity is the name of the game and it is showcased in the most creative way possible. The seating is simple and elegant and feels like one is in a museum with artifacts strewn around. Must-visit for a nostalgic experience.
