An old-style latticed wood-furnished look, in its original format, defines the High Tide Bar. A bar from the pre-liberation era situated right next to Riorico, the fine-dining restaurant at Hotel Mandovi on the first floor. A quaint place to settle down and mull over a rum and coke, with a wedge of lemon. The lounge bar is small with dark sombre panelling, however, the windows let in the sunlight and give you a glimpse of the river too. A verandah runs along the length of the bar and the restaurant outside. The place projects a cosy atmosphere and patrons sit here for a pre-meal drink before going for lunch or dinner at the restaurant next door. From the numerous cocktails served here, sip onto the old favourites such as the bloody Mary or margarita. The service is laid back and easy but many locals are drawn towards this for small business meets and discussions too. It also acts as a backup for a 'quick bite' in between timings of the restaurant service.
