Christmas time is festival time with visions of cakes, pies, puddings and awesome desserts clouding the mind. Restaurants, dessert parlours and eateries are outdoing each other offering tasty desserts and cakes to usher in the festive season and to assist people in celebrating this time with sweetness and taste. Since vegetarians are large in number in Ahmedabad, many of the eateries also offer eggless cakes and desserts. Often they offer both eggless and with egg cakes and desserts.

Upper Crust, Vijay Cross Roads

One of the best-known bakeries and restaurants, Upper Crust offers cakes, cookies, puddings and pies. They bake awesome cakes and pies, moist, soft and always on point. Do try the rich Plum Cake, Chocolate Chip Walnut Cake and Fruitcake. There is also Apple Pie, Lemon Tart, Cheesecake and cake pops at all the branches.

Indulgence, Drive-in Road

Run by two sisters, this is one of the best places for desserts, cakes and heavenly pies. This year as always there are many different desserts and cakes from Indulgence which include edible Christmas ornaments, gingerbread cookies, fudge dessert plates, sugar cookie towers, decorative pretzel rods, cake pops, truffles, brownies, plum cakes, date and walnut cakes, banoffee, ginger cherry shots and many more things. It is a must-visit place during the Christmas festive season.

Theophake, Bodakdev

This is a café and a bakery which serves eggless cakes and pies. This Christmas try their Cinnabon Rolls, Apple Pie, Mixed Fruit Gateaux, Chocolate Caramel Cake, Plumcake, Raspberry Chocolate Mousse Cake, Chocolate Orange Truffle Cake and many other such desserts. Located in Bodakdev, it is a popular joint for youngsters.

Chai Shop, Hyatt Regency, Ashram Road

A five-star hotel, a full-on classy place with many dignitaries and celebrities staying here, regularly. The Chai Shop here serves snacks and desserts. This Christmas the place will be offering various Christmas delicacies which are not so well known. These include Dundee Cake, Christmas Cookies, Panattone - Italian Christmas loaf, Plum Cake, Chocolate Santas and Christmas Stolle - a German Fruitcake with a profound history. So make your Christmas special.

Tomato’s, C G Road

This American style diner located at C G Road has a lovely bakery shop just outside the restaurant. It serves lovely Apple Pies, New York Cheese Cake, Chocolate Brownie Pie and other desserts and pasties. During Christmas, you can enough their lovely Plum Cakes also.

Prabai’s, Vastrapur

Serving premier natural ice-creams with no preservatives and artificial flavours, Prabai just started thick shakes and milkshakes from December 15, 2017, to coincide with the festive season. The various varieties include fresh fruit shakes and milkshakes, Nolen Gur Thick Shake and Milk Shake and many other flavours including caramel, coffee, chocolate and vanilla.

Cocoa Drama, Vastrapur

This dessert and cake place run a woman entrepreneur is in its 5th year. Here you can get Banana Chocolate Cake, Orange Walnut Tea Cake, Carrot Cake and of course Plum Cake. Apart from that, there is Belgium Chocolates, Walnut Fudge, Cup Cakes, both with egg and eggless and other delights.
