New restaurants are constantly opening up each month but when they open up just before the start of the festive season there is a lot to look forward to as the city warms up to a new season of festivities, family time and lots of parties.

Ahmedabad is very hot in the summer months so the best time to really enjoy good food, good outings and great restaurants is the winter months. So people can look forward to enjoying these new restaurants as the winter sets in. Many big festivals are round the corner during this time - Dusshera, Diwali, Christmas and New Year, of course, so it is a great time to discover new eateries and restaurants.

List of top 5 exciting new restaurants in Ahmedabad

Juno Pizza, Prahlad Nagar, West Ahmedabad

This is a pizza joint located on the first floor of Campus Corner on Prahladnagar Road. This outlet is open from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm. It is a vegetarian joint. It has an amazing pizza, the Charcoal Pizza, which has a black base, is very different but also very tasty. This is a Mumbai based pizza chain which has opened shop in Ahmedabad.

Shakahari's By Awadhpuri, Prahlad Nagar, West Ahmedabad

This restaurant is a new vegetarian place opened up by the owners of Awadhpuri, previously a non-vegetarian Mughlai restaurant. Now it has been converted into a classy vegetarian restaurant at the same place. This place is open for lunch and dinner. It serves North Indian, Asian and Italian food.

Price for 2: Rs 1000

Capsicum, Bodakdev

This restaurant is also a vegetarian place. It is open only in the evenings from 07:00 pm onwards. The USP of this restaurant is its outdoor seating and the swimming pool where one can take a dip and also enjoy great food at the pool-side. This is the second outlet of Capsicum restaurant, the first one being off S G Highway, opposite Nirma University

Namak, Thaltej, West Ahmedabad

This is a vegetarian restaurant serving Maharashtrian and Gujarati food. It is an amazing restaurant serving authentic Maharashtrian food with nice modern presentations. It is open for lunch and dinner. It is located in Thaitej.

Angithi Restaurant, Navrangpura, West Ahmedabad

This restaurant serves North Indian food, Biryanis and Fast Food. It is located in Navrangpura area. It is open from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm. This place serves vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian food. Definitely try their biryani combos.
