The idea is terrific. Pack a restaurant with sculptures, art works and design motifs from all over Asia and then serve a menu that takes on Thailand, Kerala, South East Asia and God alone knows what else. How you respond to the execution of the idea, however, is very much a matter of personal taste. Many people find the decor overpowering, dark, dingy and depressing. Others love it. As for the food, opinions are as sharply divided. It has its defenders as well as those who say that there is nothing at all special about it.
