This new Gurugram favourite is always bustling with people who cannot get enough of their classics. It’s the spot to go to for unfussy and delicious oriental food at almost any hour during the day. The interiors here are kept keeping in mind the theme of the restaurant, hence the décor is fairly traditional and is characterized by modern touches too. The aim seems to restore the mesmerizing ambience of the old-fashioned oriental alehouses. Apart from the ornamentation, the restaurant also boasts of a large space, as it is situated on the rooftop of the mall, with an option of an outdoor seating area as well. The menu here specializes in Thai, Chinese and Japanese, giving the diner a variety to choose from. The basil chicken on rice ‘Bowl Meal’ aka ‘Pad Kra Pao Gai’ classic minced chicken with holy basil is addictive, the mince cooked to perfection, and compliments the Thai basil flavour extremely well, taking me back to memories of eating this on the streets of Bangkok. The meaty ‘Shanghai Chicken Dumplings’, make for a good choice. Definitely worth a visit and is pocket-friendly too.
