Deeply involved service, a stone’s throw away from the airport and remarkably soulful food - these are all the reasons for which Cinnamon is probably the best dining option in the vicinity of Chennai airport. The compact buffet picks quality over variety, and while there a few hits and misses – Cinnamon’s chefs take pride in bringing recipes from their homes onto your plate. Particularly noteworthy are the South Indian dishes - I was bowled over by an interesting beetroot stuffed snake gourd in moilee, homely bitter gourd fritters and a first-rate curd rice. Do not leave without sampling their off-beat ice-cream.
