  • Though a bit of a misnomer, the Indiyaki set meals are a great way to experience the range of food from the kitchen. Do request for something other than the grainy Parsi dairy malai kulfi for dessert though
  • The kababs are quite decent, I liked the agreeable mutton seekhs and super-succulent mathaniya murg. The naans come out pretty crisp from the tandoor by default
  • If you would like a quiet meal, then sit away from the clang-clang of the open kitchen at the back of the restaurant

Clean lines and cool grays exude an understated finesse, even though resting your elbows on the tables seems awkwardly challenging after you sink into the plush sofas. As the name suggests, Beyond Indus is Taj’s North-West Frontie offering, along the lines of Bukhara and Peshawri. The attempt is best captured by dal Indus, which does not really live up to its apparent inspiration but will still find many takers for the congee-like buttery lavishness.
