Housed in the Industrial Area of Chandigarh, Hotel Hometel is quite popular with corporate guests and tourists. Therefore, it comes as a little surprise that the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, Flavours, offers a blend of local favourites and some international cuisines. The first thing that strikes you as you enter the casual eating space are the bright and cheerful colours. The place does well to make the most of the space and there’s plenty of warm light streaming in. We are quickly ushered in and given a seat. There is the option of a la carte and a buffet service for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The a la carte menu is concise offering starters, salads, sandwiches, burgers et al. The main course makes room for both Oriental as well as Indian fare. If you find yourself not too famished, opt for the 'Kathi Roll'. It is among the best available in the city. We would also recommend opting for the buffet as it has a good spread of dishes, most of which are from the menu as well. Unlike other places, Flavours does well to please both vegetarians as well as non-vegetarians. The buffet brings in a good selection of desserts as well. We found the service very efficient. The adjacent Terrace Grill is a delight when the season is cooler. Do look out for announcements as food festivals are a regular feature here.
