It is without a doubt that while Sector 26 and Sector 7 are the dining hubs of the city, the southern sectors are more popular for their street fare. But tucked away in the Sector 36 market is a true surprise for foodies. Al Lazeezo might be a small restaurant – it is more like a bistro - but it has garnered itself good reviews for its inviting ambience and appetising meals including specials from the grill. The focus is on Mediterranean fare like hummus platters, wraps and pizzas. A big draw here is the ‘Turkish Curry’ best paired with an Indian ‘Lachha Parantha’ and the ‘Open Shawarma’ served with Pita Bread and spot on with its flavours. It was nice to get a 'Crisp Salad' instead of limp lettuce served elsewhere. The ambience is pleasing and we liked the bistro’s selection of songs when we dined here. Even though this space has limited covers and works with a handful of staff, we found Al Lazeezo a nice neighbourhood cafe where you can head to for a light meal on a weekday.
