Knife & Fork restaurant at Thaltej is where it all began. Now the restaurant has seven branches, but this place remains it’s most known outlet. The place is fair sized, with simple ambience. The walls are decorated with pictures of different birds from across the world. The tables and chairs are dark brown coloured with beige coloured walls. The waiters are dressed in bright blue uniforms which give them a neat look and the service here is good. Food can take some time to arrive, especially if you order one of their signature dishes. This restaurant is known for its non-vegetarian food. They serve good North Indian and Chinese cuisine and it also has decent prices. The menu is huge and it starts with the non-vegetarian section which is most unusual in Ahmedabad where mostly menus begin with the vegetarian section. There are many pages for the starters in the menu; different types of chicken, mutton and fish starters. Their prawn and Chinese starters are very popular. Their signature starter is Chusta Kebab, which has three distinct layers of meats rolls one after the other to form a three-layered kebab. It is a must try, here. Another must-try item is the stuffed chicken leg in two varieties- Hugwani Tangdi and Golden Hugwani. You are likely to get confused with the number of starters on the menu. But try at least a couple of non-vegetarian starters. It will be a pleasurable experience.
