Upper Crust as the name suggests started out as a bakery and later added the restaurant section to their business. Now there are five Upper Crust restaurants in Ahmedabad and it is known for its really good non-vegetarian food. Their forte is continental and Indian cuisine, of which they are especially good in Goan cuisine. Located close to Vijay Cross Roads, this is a small restaurant with just 6-7 tables so there is lots of waiting on the weekends. The interiors here are simple and elegant. It serves a whole lot of bread, cookies, pastries, cakes and various types of desserts owning to their expertise in baking. Upper Crust serves one of the best 'Chicken sizzlers', 'Frankies' and baked dishes in town. The menu has two page full of sizzlers, vegetarian and non-vegetarian and lots of innovative baked dishes. Order the Upper Crust Special, a vegetarian baked dish consisting of vegetables, beans and spaghetti. Non-vegetarians can try the 'Moussaka' or 'Simply Indian'. 'Moussaka' has minced meat, mashed potatoes, 'Aubergines' and tomatoes while Simply Indian is a fusion dish of 'Spaghetti Chicken' in an Indian sauce. Upper Crust signatures dishes are a must try. You can choose from 'Revolution', 'Inception', 'Fast and Furious' or 'Smoke on the Water'.
