An elegant restaurant with a simple beige-gold-brown ambience, Portico rustles up decent buffets. Breakfasts here feature the usual variety of dishes such as a cheese platter, South Indian snacks, parathas, eggs made to order, and baked goodies like muffins and doughnuts. The lunch and dinner spreads are more creative, with preparations such as chicken in madeira sauce, pan seared fish with mango salsa, and gosht saunfiyana featuring on the admittedly exhaustive menu, which also includes chaats, fresh salads, mains and desserts. Service is excellent and caters to individual needs, to the point of preparing special starters if the ones available on the buffet are not to your liking – much appreciated. Interestingly, they do not accept any additional tip along with the cheque amount.
