If you love Goan food and happen to be in Kharadi, look no further. Café 1730 has opened a new outlet you can check out. From a vast selection of Goan dishes to Indian and Continental, there is a lot that you can choose from. The ambience is contemporary and vibrant with plenty of space to be relaxed. The gazebo section which can easily accommodate 60 to 80 people, makes a delightful retreat. Enjoy your weekends here with live music and special Brunches. Every dish speaks of the Executive Chef, Melba Sebastian’s passion for cooking. She has formed a balanced menu that also sports an innovative range of Fusion Food. Hence you have Paneer Tikka & Dal Makhni Risotto, Pav Bhaji Lasagne, Smoked Egg Plant Prawn Fetuccine and a lot more. Each dish exudes the most imaginative flair and my favourite was ‘Dal Khichdi Risotto’ – Arborio rice cooked with lentils, jeera, garlic and green chillies served with a masala papad and mango pickle cream. What a fine example of innovation. Melba believes her marrying of Continental and Indian recipes together makes the dish exciting and is being accepted very well by diners. The menu is huge with varied sections. All sauces – Apple, Orange, Rosemary Red Wine, Mint, etc are homemade. Every bakery item is prepared in-house. Most Popular dishes on the menu – Crab Xec Xec, Pork Sorpotel, Veg Caldeen Curry, Chicken Cafreal, Fish Ambotik. The liquor license is expected anytime soon.
