  • There is nothing wrong with the Thai, Japanese, etc., but to my mind, this is one of Bombay's best Chinese restaurants. The chefs will serve the sort of halfway-real Chinese food that passes for authentic in India. Or they will cook you the real thing
  • Pan-Asian's secret weapon is Chef Liang who must rank as one of India's best Chinese chefs. I always tell him to create a Sichuan meal for me. And I've never once eaten badly
  • This is a slightly terrible thing to say about a restaurant. But I always call ahead to make sure that Liang is cooking that day. You should do that too!

This is the best-looking restaurant at the Maratha, sleek, glossy and full of satellite kitchens, counters and discreet alcoves. The idea is to allow guests to enjoy a meal that combines Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Korean and other Far-Eastern cuisines.When the restaurant started it was believed that the sushi and Thai sections would attract the punters but as time has gone on, it is the Chinese food that is clearly the most popular. This is one of the few restaurants in North Mumbai to serve an outstanding Peking Duck and to pair it with a great white Burgundy from the wine cellar attached to the room.

Ask Chef Liang to cook you something special, he is after all the soul of the kitchen. Take a peek at their impressive wine collection and ask the sommelier to give you something special. As first course try their Peking duck, one of the best in Mumbai. Second course entails, pan-fried sliced fish fillet in teriyaki sauce, mixed vegetables with fresh crab meat, Thai vegetable green curry and so much more.
