The award-winning seafood restaurant from Colombo, finally comes to Mumbai shores, with its first outpost in India. Spread over 3 levels, this sprawling restaurant spells luxury and yet, exudes a cosy vibe. The well-equipped bar on the top floor is a highlight. There is a private dining room in the basement. Chef Dharshan Munidasa ensures Mumbai can enjoy the old favourites - 'Crab Curry', 'Clay Pot Prawn Curry' and 'Chicken Curry Rice', but has added wok-tossed greens and coastal curries for vegetarians. In this ingredient-lead restaurant, expect fresh 'Mud Crabs' in about 10 sizes, sourced from coastal India. The 'Kade Bread' is the perfect accompaniment to the soulful and subtly spiced, 'Clay Pot Prawn Curry', which is deeply satisfying. 'Kang Kong', with oodles of garlic, is light and adds zest to your palate. The 'Garlic Chili Crab' is the raison d'être for visiting this place and surpasses expectations. The firm but fleshy meat, wrapped in an aromatic mix of garlic, 'Sri Lankan Chili Flakes and Olive Oil', offers a unique flavour quotient. The quality of the crabs is expectedly top-notch and priced accordingly too. The service is impeccable and the staff well-trained.
