Entry into this chic restaurant transports you to the rugged terrain of the North West Frontier Province. The plush décor, ambience and even the music, blend harmoniously to create the effect, albeit a bit obtrusively. The menu in the form of a tabloid is impressive. Exotic kababs, shorbas, sea food, speciality curries and desserts are on offer. No drinks are on the menu though. Although a haven for carnivores, it does offer plenty of vegetarian options. The food is robust, rich and spicy, representative of the region. However, the famed chicken dum biryani disappoints as it appears to have been rustled up hurriedly. Nizami keema kaleji, shikampur kabab, dal khiva and khubaani ka meetha thankfully compensate and are a must-try. The kababs are flavourful and the aromas fill the air even before you take the first bite. Grilled to perfection, the kababs are well-marinated and succulent. Some dishes you ask for are not available. The service is prompt and the staff affable.
