You can tell how popular a stand-alone restaurant is by the number of outlets it has. China Gate with a total of four restaurants spread across the city is an old favourite. Walk into any of their outlets and you'll find full tables with happy diners polishing off their meal. The menu consists of almost every conceivable Chinese dish, mostly the Indo-Chinese Fusion people love. Service is prompt for the most part but they tend to get flustered on busy nights. Food tends to be oily as most Indo-Chinese is, but people keep coming back for more.
