Graceful and austere, yet soothing and friendly, the atmosphere strikes a fine balance between accessibility and exclusivity. Most dishes served have a balance of flavour and texture, the beauty of simplicity, and the understated sensuality with well paired spirits and wines. Awadhi kababs – the tikka, galawati, and seekh are truly fabulous and Baluchi offers an extraordinary selection of the very finest! For me, the benchmark of a good Indian restaurant is its ‘biryani’ and here I found an ancient recipe rediscovered in this rare biryani eating experience, the manifold uniqueness of the Nizam’s conserved in its imaginative form. The dessert menu was a whirlwind of flavours, as for me, after a delicious meal the anjeer badam ka halwa was a fitting and soothing ending, this is an amalgam of taste and subtle flavours.
