JW Marriott Kolkata’s speciality restaurant, Vintage Asia is a class apart in the city with a very aesthetically pleasing ambience. The exquisite and classy décor brings in a calming sense while the open kitchen excites the taste buds. The food is the very best of China and some of the other South East Asian regions. The Chinese food is a very Sichuan style which is appealing to the local palate. Try the 'Mushroom Bao', which is so deceptive in looks that you will think you have been served a grilled whole mushroom, only to figure out that it is a bao with the stuffing of 3 kinds of mushrooms. 'Mei Foon with vegetables in a spicy Oyster Sauce' is a delight to have, where the mei foon is slightly crispy and then tossed in this silky oyster sauce. Other than the crabs, the highlight of the menu here is a 'Steamed Bhekti Fillet in a Chinese Garlic Soy Sauce'. The garlic along with soy and the sweet Kolkata bhekti creates a beautiful melody in the mouth.
