Another relatively new restaurant tucked in a narrow lane in Behala; Marufaz serves a typical Mughlai spread with a focus on biryani and kababs. The restaurant is spread over two floors, with a playful, casual seating area on the ground floor, and a reasonably well-appointed air-conditioned section, on the floor above. Their spicy mutton kachchi biryani loaded with slit green chillies and the distinct flavour of fresh mint comes especially recommended and tandoor specialties such as seekh kababs and the signature Murgh Irani Kabab (they arrive on sizzler plates) are good picks. For dessert, try their saffron-infused phirni.
