It is a small 20-seater on the ground floor of an old residential building next to Maddox Square. This is not a fancy establishment, but the interiors are done imaginatively to replicate the setting of old Zamindari mansions, complete with antique mirrors and clocks, old framed photographs and old fashioned light fixtures, and a stag head staring down from above the arch in the dining area. Expect the usual Bengali fare with everything from bhetki paturi and mochar ghonto to luchi and kosha mangsho. Plus, there is a wide range of pucca Kolkata street food such as fish fry and chicken breast cutlet, one of their bestsellers.
