Republic of Noodles (RoN) is a familiar name in Hyderabad, thanks to the consistently impressive Hitec City outlet. The relatively newer Gachibowli outlet located inside Lemon Tree Hotel continues its legacy of serving soulful Pan-Asian fare. The décor is simple and understated. Irrespective of the time of the day, RoN feels cosy and peaceful – an apt reflection of the food on offer. RoN has always offered excellent pork dishes, and the Roast Pork with bamboo shoots and pickled chilly doesn’t disappoint. The focal point of any Pan-Asian restaurant are its curries and there is plenty to choose from at RoN. 'Jungle Curry of Beef', 'Malaysian Rendang', 'Thai Green Curry of Prawns', and 'Fiery Sri Lankan Fish Curry' are some of my favourites. As the name suggests, RoN also offers several interesting noodles. The 'MHAD Noodles', Ron’s signature chilli coriander noodles, are a popular choice. If you are in the mood for something light and wholesome, opt for the 'Vietnamese Pho'. The aromatic broth and the fantastic rice noodle never fail to bring a smile to my face. Be cautious while ordering as the portions are quite generous.
