With arched pathways, grand pillars, and shimmering chandeliers, Ohri’s Rubaiyat does a commendable job at replicating a royal ambience at a casual dine price point. Mughlai and Frontier cuisines have always been Rubaiyat’s strengths. Kebab lovers should try the 'Lahori Murgh Tikka', 'Awadh Ke Galauti Kebab', and 'Rampur ka Pyaazi Kebab'. The hefty 'Raan-E-Sikandari', whole leg of lamb grilled on hot embers, is an absolute treat for non-vegetarians. The 'Nimbu Chicken', which tempers the sharp acidity from lemon with the richness of butter, is an unusual but brilliant creation. The recent menu revamp also saw Rubaiyat move beyond its royal contours and become more representative of the gamut of entire Indian cuisine. Try the lip-smacking 'Ghee Roast Murgh' from Mangalore or the fierce 'Saoji Mutton Curry' from Maharashtra. Hyderabad is represented through dishes such as 'Chowgra', 'Tala Hua Gosht', 'Shikampur Kebab', and 'Gosht Double Seena Masala'.
