Hotel Basera, the first hotel from the Ohri’s chain has been popular in Secunderabad for decades, and, Pickles its lobby-level restaurant is well-known for its buffet. The restaurant gets its name from the quality of pickles it serves, often available on a trolley in the buffet. The food here is multi-cuisine ranging from Indian, Continental and Asian. The buffet does not have too many items, but most of the dishes are well-prepared. I am a fan of their 'Mutton Rogan Josh' and 'Murgh Masallam'. The biryani from the buffet is usually in demand for loyal customers who are coming to this restaurant for a long time. Pickles has a Midnight Biryani Buffet from 12 to 2 am, which is very popular with late diners. 'Zafrani Phirni' is the pick of their desserts. Service is leisurely.
