European Cuisine

Courtesy to the abundance of global travellers in Goa, the gastronomy of the city has taken a new life. No longer is the city limited to delicious regional fare, rather it has moved on to greener pastures or should we say ‘international’ pastures. European cuisine finds a strong fan base amongst the local patrons who do the cuisine full justice with their enthusiasm. The city is crammed with several great kitchens who dishes out mouth-watering European cuisine and deserves a space on this list. ‘June Garden Bistro’ is an enchanting open air lounge situated on Anjuna Beach Road. The place is highly popular with night crawlers who find the spot perfect combination of canopies, beach and decadent European food.

‘Lila Café’ is open to patrons early in morning, luring them with hearty breakfasts and a casual laid back setting on Arpora-Siolim Road. It is highly affordable and yet remains a sought after choice for European fare. ‘Go With The Flow’ is designed in such a way that it bridges the gap between the outdoors and the indoors. It is charmingly furnished with a subtle casual elegance that instantly attracts you. The outdoor spread is worth their hefty prices. If you are easily wooed by wood fired oven pizzas and the general Goan vibe than without qualm hit ‘Harmony Bistro’ in Candolim. The place is a cosy lantern lit cocoon of tranquillity and romance. Its affordable in bargain.

Anjuna is home to a gem of a place called ‘Shamba’, which is an outdoor restaurant spread out under the heavy tree branches and airy white canopies. The place is romantic and expensive. ‘Desbue’ is a nice stylish place decorated in a subtle manner with bright blue and beige coloured theme glamourized by multiple chandeliers. The look is formal and elegant. It may be on the expensive side but worth it. ‘La Brise’ of Candolim is a chic lounge with an open air deck accompanied with live music and a lavish Sunday brunch. The best part is it’s not that expensive too. The lavish outdoor setting is ideal for a quiet date. If you are a great lover of seafood in European spread, then head towards ‘Le Poisson Rouge’ in Baga. The restaurant is located in an open courtyard brimming with lush plants and lit by several lanterns as the evening falls. It may be expensive but highly romantic.
