This year, the republic day is on a Sunday, and one of the best ways to celebrate the same will be to devour into some delicacies across India. Most of the city restaurants are offering a perfect balance of diverse traditional Indian Cuisine and global dishes to celebrate the occasion. Dishes from Hyderabad, Mumbai, Rajasthan, Gujarat, it is a wonderful way to appreciate the diverse rich Indian cuisine. Here are the top 5 restaurants offering a republic day special brunch.

JW Marriott Kolkata - JW Kitchen is all set to plate a fine array of local and traditional dishes to celebrate this occasion. There will be signature dishes like Tandoori Jhinga Ka Gandhraj Lemon Salad, Purple Potato and White Garlic Soup, Murgh ke Sooley, Crab Masala Fry to name a few. From the Pan Indian Platter, there will be Murgh Mussallam, Lamb Galouti Kebab, Vepudu, Andhra Tawa Machhi Aur Bera Ka Yapacheri amongst few. There will also be live Rajasthani Chilla Counter and Dosa Counters too.

Cost - INR 1799 per head non alcoholic brunch, INR 2250 per head with alcohol, INR 3250 per head with alcohol ( with champagne)

The Westin, Kolkata - The remarkable culinary team of Westin Kolkata has curated a menu for the brunch which is called the “Brunch of Integrity” will feature a range of Indian regional cuisines, including Goan, South Indian, Punjabi, Kashmiri, Maharashtrian and Gujarati dishes.

The Republic Day selection will include a Hyderabadi Biryani station, Haleem station, Maharashtrian Dabeli and Pao Bhaji station and many more. One can also select a selection of premium beverages which will be on offer

Cost - INR 1950 plus taxes

Cal 27, Taj Bengal, Kolkata - The all day dining of Taj Bengal by the poolside will be a perfect way to celebrate a Republic day brunch. There are exotic vegetarian and non-vegetarian fare which will be on offer for the guests. The Indian section will have Murgh Angara Kebab, Fish Amritsari, Murg Biryani, Duck Roast, Kosha Mangsho for non-vegetarians, and Aloo Nazakat, Subz Nilgiri Korma (Green), Paneer Methi Malai (White), Badami Kofta Curry (Orange), Dal Maharani, Dhokar Dalna to name a few. The desserts will include Baked Mihidana, Gulab Jamun, Nolen Gurer Sondesh amongst a whole lot of other sweets.

Cost - INR 2000 per head without alcohol and INR 3000 plus taxes with select premium beverages ( wine and beer from a select bar)

Mynt, Vivanta Kolkata EM Bypass - The special brunch of this revamped all day dining in Vivanta Kolkata will offer its special dishes and will also have a local street food live counter which will have Chaat Ka Thela, Jhalmuri and Bhelpuri, Aloo Kabuli Chana Chaat, Dim Pauruti with Ghoogni and some more.

Cost - INR 1249 plus taxes for unlimited pour of non alcoholic beverages and INR 1449 plus taxes for unlimited pour of selected alcoholic beverages

Hammer, The Myx Bar and Kitchen - The revamped rooftop lounge Bar and kitchen which was formerly known as Over The Top will celebrate its first republic day whole the guests can enjoy a panoramic view of the city.

Rang Bahar Chicken Tikka

The menu will be an inclusive and diverse creation rejoicing the rich food traditions of India, there will be Rang de Basanti Paneer Tikka and Rang Bahar Chicken Tikka along with Tiranga Pulao, Tiranga Kulcha, Swadeshi Black Dal and Methi Paneer Lababdar and a whole lot of other lip-smacking dishes.

Cost - INR 1500 plus taxes per head with alcohol
