Punjabis have a larger than life image and their culture, music, foods and their dances are all celebrated and liked across the country. In Gujarat too there is a lot of love for all things Punjabi whether it is the food or the Bhangra, Punjabi songs or even their penchant for doing things on a big scale. Gujaratis have their famous garbas where the whole community dances for 9 days of Navratri and Punjabis also have their bhagra and gidda dances in which also the whole community participates.

As far as food is concerned, the 2 cuisines - Gujarati and Punjabi are very different but still, there is a lot of love for Punjabi food here in Ahmedabad so whether it is Shahi Paneer or Stuffed Paranthe, Chole or Pulao the vegetarian Gujarati loves vegetarian Punjabi fare. Also, Punjabi non-vegetarian food like Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka are loved by most non-vegetarians here.

The restaurant located on Drive-in Road. It serves Punjabi dishes which are popular everywhere like Aloo Tikki, Dahi Bhalla, Rajma Chawal, Punjabi Kadhi Chawal, etc. They also have Shahi Paneer, Dal Bukhara, Kulcha, Chole, Batura and lots of other dishes. It also serves Delhi street food apart from Punjabi dishes.

Located in Vastrapur area, Punjabi by Heart is a restaurant which serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. This place is open for lunch and dinner. It serves Butter Chicken, Khadai Paneer, Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka, Veg Dum Biryani, Chicken Dum Biryani and lots of other Punjabi varieties.
