Top 5 Food Parks in Ahmedabad

The trend of food parks and food truck parks began three years ago in the city and since then it has caught the imagination of the youth here.

The first food park started in Ahmedabad 3 years ago and since then 15 food parks with 2-3 dozen food stalls in each, have come up in various parts of the city, Most of these food parks are in West Ahmedabad, the more developed part of the city. City youth have taken it is so much that they frequent these places in hordes.

From a humble beginning, food parks now offer a lot more in terms of entertainment from live music, games, live theatre, lots of open seating spaces and parking spaces and the competition is intense. But a lot of the attraction is the variety of food that one can get in a single place and most of them are also on the outskirts of the city so it makes for a great outing to visit these food parks. Most of these are open in the evenings only as they are mostly open to air. Many remain open till late in the night.

We present to you the top 5 food parks in the city and what you will find in them.

List of top food parks in Ahmedabad

Urban Chowk, Thaltej

This is a popular place. It has 20 different food stalls. This is a vegetarian place where you can get burgers, shakes, waffles, Chinese, South Indian and North Indian cuisine items. Also, you can get popular Mexican, Italian and Lebanese dishes. This food park has one of the best ambiences in the city.

Ahmedabad Food Truck Park, Opp Karnavati Club

This is the first food park which started three years ago on the outskirts of the city on S G Highway, right opposite Karnavati Club. Since it has many non-vegetarian food options youngsters and many non-Gujaratis who have come to the city for jobs throng this place to have some awesome non-vegetarian dishes like Lamb Burgers, Chicken Sandwiches, Chicken and Mutton Biryani, eggs in various preparations and many such dishes. It is still very popular even though it is not as developed as the newer parks but it always has lots of people visiting it regularly.

Fun Food Battalion, YMCA to Bopal Road

This food park is theme-based on the outskirts on the Bopal Road from YMCA. It is a huge park with an army theme with a real sized battle tank model, sandbag bunkers, green and brown camouflage paint on the walls and lots of military paraphernalia. It even had a football ground with FIFA approved turf. It can seat 1000 people and park 1200 cars. It has 25 food brands, an air-conditioned banquet hall, pool tables other games tables for the kids and lots more. It is a much-awarded food park also.

Mad Rush, Sindhu Bhawan Road

This food pavilion is the most spacious and neat food park of Ahmedabad and it is located opposite Olives Restaurant off Sindhu Bhavan road. The primary USP of this food park is it has a 250 seater amphitheatre called “Montage the Stage” for live performances, shows, screening of sporting events and private parties. Mad Rush also has an indoor air-conditioned banquet room and conference area as well as a rooftop café. Try the Chinese and Mughlai cuisine and also eggs in a variety of versions, here.

SBR Social, Sindhu Bhavan Road

This is a park which has 35 food stalls which are all vegetarian but it will shortly have a Subway outlet opening up here so they will be serving both vegetarian and non-vegetarian submarines here. It is located beside ARA Academy on Sindhu Bhawan Road.
