Hard Rock Cafe, Kolkata is perhaps the first International pub chain to set its foot inside the city. There could not have been a better place than the much nostalgic yet much-acclaimed Park Street. The International giant has come in and one can say that this has added a new dimension to Park Street and to the City foodscape.

The first Hard Rock Cafe had opened up in 2005 in India and since then, it has travelled with its victory post all across the country. Finally, it enters Kolkata after more than a decade. A chat with owner Ms Vanita Bajoria, Exec Chef Nakul Bakshi and Sous Chef Snehasish revealed so much on what to expect from this place in the coming days.

Keeping in mind the slowly changing taste buds of the city, the menu is carefully crafted with an equal and if not, more options for vegetarians and some exclusive dishes are planned for them. Jain food is also available on request.

The Nachos are a mouthful and plateful too and who does not know about these Classic Nachos, the non-vegetarian version will be with Southwest Chicken or Fajita Steak. A generous amount of Cheddar Cheese with Sour Cream on top of a huge portion of nachos is just what you would need to start the evening. The other options can be the Jumbo Combo, be it in Veg or Non-Veg option or the Red Hot Chili Fries. For the first time, across all Hard Rock Cafe outlets in India - Flatbreads are being introduced in four varieties in Kolkata which could be the perfect filler for the second round of drinks. If you have come to HRC and not had the trademark cocktails like Hurricane or Purple Haze, then your experience remains incomplete. For the strong hearted ones, Long Island Ice Tea can throw up the perfect challenge.

The latest addition in the family of the Burgers is Java Lava Burger made with in-house Lava Sauce but if not in a mood to experiment, then try out the Original Legendary Burger which is the same recipe which started the chain with slight modifications and for the Vegetarians, there is Quesadilla and Aromic Burger. The debate over the best pork ribs in the city will soon start with HRC serving an exceptional quality of ribs. These Pork Ribs are juicy with meat falling off the bone and are a pork lover's delight.
