Nachos - this tortilla chips snack is such a tasty crispy dish. It is much more preferred than potato wafers as it is more filling and also maybe a healthier snack. Nachos originated in North Mexican in 1943. It was created by Ignacio Nachos Anaya, more out of necessity than creativity. It was created from leftover tortilla chips, cheese and jalapenos when the wives of US soldiers asked for something to eat and the restaurants had closed down at Piedras Negras, Coahuila. Mexico, which was bordering Ford Duncan in Texas, US. The wives were on a shopping trip at Eagle Pass when they visited the restaurant.

When asked what the dish was, Ignacio said it was Nacho’s Special. Since then the dish first travelled to Texas and then to most of the US and now all across the world.
