In fact, mango devotees are in for a treat this season as restaurants across Delhi-NCR are putting a funky twist on India’s national fruit.
This outlet is putting a fresh spin on the humble mango by introducing a Mango Beer for its thirsty patrons. While Prankster launched this one-of-a-kind beverage last year, the restaurant has brought it back on popular demand this summer as well. The process of conjuring up this fruit beer is interesting. Alphonso juice from Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri district is used to brew the mango ale, which boasts of 5 percent alcohol. Although malt makes an appearance in this brew in a small quantity, hops have been given a wide berth. Not surprisingly, the inventive and quirky mango ale is both refreshing and high on flavour.

In a hat tip to the Hanami, Japan’s annual cherry blossom season, Guppy is putting out a new spring-summer menu.
A fresh addition here is the Mango And Avocado Cream Cheese Roll (part of the Hanami specials), where Alphonso mango, cream cheese, asparagus, tanuki fritters and kimchi sauce come together in an earth-shattering bite.
