Matchbox is not the easiest restaurant to find in Hauz Khas village, but when you do so, you would be happy to have found this tiny restaurant. Much like all the restaurants in the neighbourhood, Matchbox has also stuck to the formula of pizza, pasta and burgers, except they have really paid attention to the flavours and tastes, which is a real added plus in HKV. For example, the 'Carbonara' is creamy and has generous amounts of bacon in it while the range of burgers even has a 'Vegan Burger' featuring on their list. But it is the 'Sizzlers' that sets this place slightly apart. The 'Chicken Steak Sizzler' was very good and was a perfect portion size for two people while 'Mixed Grill Sizzler' could easily be shared by 4 people. There is also an all-day breakfast menu, which means you can have eggs at any point in the day. The desserts are usually listed in the restaurant itself so it is a bit like the luck of the draw, but you just have to try the 'Chunky Munky Shake' to believe how amazing it is.
